Selling jewellery is pretty straightforward. But when the boss of a company producing more than 1.000 different models decided to pass the reins to his daughter and called us to help her with design, things took a unexpected twist.

Before putting pen on paper, we discussed about the peculiar issues that affected the company, and so the idea was born that jewellery should be like a commodity, and that the company should aim to become the Zara of gold and silver. To do that we created an open shop within a shopping centre, added a digital catalogue area to browse the collection, moved on a mezzanine a VIP area for customisation and large orders, and completely redesigned the displays and the try-on areas. As security became increasingly important, all displays were equipped with cameras and sensors, and we added several salespersons with portable scanner and card reader to make purchases and payments on the fly.

The idea is intriguing, the client is deciding, and we hope it will be soon become reality.
