From the 21st floor of this residential tower in the old city, the low-rise buildings below look distant and the view stretches all the way to the far-away mountains.

Developing on two floors, the 500 sq.m. of internal space include 3 bedrooms, a study, a cinema room, a gym and a spa. A glass-enclosed zen garden leads to the rooftop garden, with a gazebo placed on the lawn and screened by trees. It’s an amazing view from up there, and the entire sequence from the entrance raising to the sky has been carefully choreographed. Natural stone and wood are used extensively, and backlit steel/plexiglass columns in the hall and gallery whaoo the occasional visitor.

A smart-home system adjusts temperature and humidity based on occupancy, a necessity for a home that basically runs on electrical power only. Passive insulation, including the rooftop garden, help to reduce the energy needs while providing clean air and the right microclimate. And the Client is still enjoying it after almost 10 years.
