HYBRID CATAMARAN

Let’s be clear from the start, this is a revolutionary boat: a 33′ day-trip planing catamaran, with luxury features like automatic sliding cover, adjustable carbon fibre shade, self-mooring system, cooling and heating drawers and a fully functional toilet. The revolution, however, is under the hood and at the marina: the boat is powered by two 200KWh fuel cell power units, and supported by a smart ecosystem of marina-based hydrogen production plants and fueling stations, using renewable energy sources (wind, solar) during the day, and low-cost grid electricity during the night . 

This, coupled with a weight of 4 tons and the planing hull, can propel the boat to a cruising speed of 30 knots in no time. 30 kg of hydrogen and 20KWH of battery backup (hence hybrid) allow for four hours of cruising or about 120 miles. 

At the end, this boat is silent like a sail boat, and with a top speed of 50 knots, it is faster than most sport cruisers. It costs half to run and to maintain, and it is not polluting. This is the boat to make leisure boating a pleasure without guilt.
